About Me

Teaching:

I have been teaching papers of Advance Communications, Fiber Optic , C language, Computer Hardware at  M.Sc.Classes. With the theory paper teaching I had developed new Experiments in the laboratory and guided many students for the project work as a part of curriculum. To get classroom involvement of students I have been restoring to techniques like quiz, presentations by students and class and home assignments. I make use of modern teaching aids like power point presentations, wireless slates and smart interactive boards.  To keep my self abreast with the latest developments in the subject, I have been regularly participating in the Seminars, Workshops, Conferences and faculty up-gradation programmes organized by institutes of national repute. Teaching has been my strongest preoccupation.

Research:

Research is very much an integral part of university education system. In this regard, I have perceived for myself double roles, namely, as an independent researcher and as a research supervisor. I have completed Seed Money Research Project (Saurashtra University) and UGC Minor Research Project  independently. one student of Ph. D. Programme is completed her research work and one student has submitted his thesis under my supervision. My involvement as an independent researcher and research supervisor has helped me in improving my understanding of application of Electronics theory in practice and intricacies involved in the current research issues. At present, the issues pertaining to ‘Mobile De-fragmentation’ and ‘Signal Processing’ have been my major research flanks. 

Extension:

In the present time a teacher has to go beyond usual classroom curriculum teaching and research, and integrate himself with the society in more meaningful way. I have tried to achieve the same by associating myself more actively with Quality enhancement work like NAAC Accreditation Counseling, Centralize Admission System, University Brochure and Academic Calendar Design as well as e-Content Development. 

I am associated with IGNOU as a counselor as well as assistant coordinator. There I get opportunity to provide counseling to those students who could not be part of regular university education system, however, they want to improve their educational qualifications while they are in employment. 

I am also associated with Academic Staff College where I get opportunity to share my knowledge as resource person with teachers coming for orientation and refresher courses from various Collages and Universities of INDIA.

Publications:

I have published good number of research papers in the journals and leading electronics magazine “Electronics For You and Electronics Maker. I have also published three books on three different technical themes. In year 2006, my paper entitled “Comparison Analysis Based Single Channel Sound Enhancement Using Filters“ got first prize in National Seminar ETA-2006 organized by Computer Science Department, Saurashtra University, Rajkot. Seminar, Conference, Workshop Attended / organized / Resource person:

I have been member of IETE. I have been regularly attending conferences, seminars and workshops. I have preferred to attend conferences, workshops and seminars, which have focus on ‘Space Science, and Signal Processing ’, ICT, and Mobile Programming. Participation in all these did help me in developing professional contacts across the country. It also helped in knowing the outcomes of works of other researchers. These programmes provided me an opportunity to let others know about my work and receive critical feedback for the further improvements. Extension and Field Outreach Activity:

• Application Development:

  • FeedBack Analysis: Feed Back of Students on Teachers and Courses are prerequisite for NAAC Accreditation for any Institution. Design and implemented software for analysis of feedback given by students for Teachers and Courses. Feedback Analysis software used by various University and collages.

  • Data Integration: NAAC Accreditation is an integral part of any higher education institution in India. NAAC has given guidelines of Seven Criteria for assessment of  higher education institute. Collection and Integration of data for these seven criteria is a big headache for all higher education institutions. Data Integration software package is a solution for this. Specially designed for universities to integrate their data based on seven criteria of assessment. IQAC, Saurashtra University used and implemented Data Inegration Package for Re accreditation of Saurashtra University.

  • CGPA Calculation: NAAC introduced new methodology for assessment and accreditation of higher education institute in April 2007. Assessment is based on Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) which refers to the Weighted Mean Value of all the grade points, earned by the institution, for its quality parameters and quality aspects under consideration. As mentioned, this is a new methodology adopted by NAAC so, for better understanding of evaluation process CGPA Calculation software is useful, where one can perform simulation/mock for grading of institutions.

• Administration Work:

  • GCET-2007: Gujarat Common Entrance Test (GCET) for MBA and MCA in year 2007 was taken up by Saurashtra University, Rajkot. I got opportunity to worked as a operation team member and able to complete challenging task like preparation of information books, controlling of examinations, as an expert, and counseling of students in given time.

  • Preparation of Publication Material: I have contributed in design of various promotional and academic information materials like University Brochure, University Diary, Academic Calender and University Annual Report.

• Quality Enhancement:

  • Resourse Person: IQAC, Saurashtra University organized Eight workshops to guide the affiliated colleges for accreditation process, I tendered services as a Resource Person and gave useful guidance on new methodology process, the structure of SSR, Analysis of various Feedback and Tips for preparation for Peer Team visit among other things. Also, offered services as a Resource person (for Re-accreditation) to the colleges affiliated to Sardar Patel University  in the Workshop organized by Sardar Patel University, Vallabh Vidhyanagar.

  • NAAC Re-accreditation: I had contributed in IQAC, Saurashtra University as a member of the Steering Committee and also as a member of the Self-Study Report-Drafting Committee for second cycle of Re-accreditation of Saurashtra University.
